Beta Release: 0.8.1 (Leopard-tested, bug fixes, user manual)

Aeon Timeline Version 0.8.1 has just been released.

This release is updated to work properly with Leopard 10.5.8, includes the correct updated user manual, and fixes a few bugs.

You should read the post on 0.8.0 to find out about the many, many significant changes that have been added for version 0.8.

Follow the link for upgrade information.

Aeon Timeline supports automatic updates, which means you will be notified whenever an update is available, and able to download it directly within the program. If the program does not alert you automatically, you can choose ‘Check for Updates…’ from the Aeon Timeline menu.

Alternatively, you can download the latest version of the application by clicking on the Latest Version link at the top of the Blog page. The last beta was downloaded more than 500 times, and I hope even more users will test out this latest version. If you know other users who may be interested in the program and the direction the program is taking, please encourage them to take a look.

  1. Thank you for providing Scrivener integration! This will make Aeon timeline work for me! I’m clearing the decks this week so that I can test this out on my current WIP!

    • Hi, there are some more changes that I intend to make to Scrivener integration. A few more fields can be synchronised than it is currently doing, and I hope to make the interface a little easier to use first time around by making it possible to change the action for a group of events/documents on-bulk (eg. set a whole bunch of selected ones to Ignore together).

Let me know how you find it though, and if there is more you would like it to do.

    • I have just released a new version that may fix this issue. Otherwise, if it continues, please let me know. I will probably need to get crash reports, or Console messages from you, if that is the case.

  2. Wishlist:
Sometimes we have finished events. But sometimes we have events that continue in the present ( a person that is living today)
May be same option that extend the bar until the present .
May be a button: Still alive.
