Aeon Timeline Version 0.6.2 has just been released.
This release just fixes a few small bugs, the most serious of which may have prevented timelines from being viewed at certain zoom levels, and sometimes prevented a file opening altogether.
This new version is compatible with Snow Leopard and Leopard. At this stage I believe it does not work on Tiger, but this is something I will attempt to address when it approaches a proper release.
Please view the post on version 0.6 for the full description of changes from 0.5.x. I would encourage everyone to update to this new release, and if you have not used Aeon Timeline for some time, I would suggest trying it again now, as you may have a pleasant surprise.
Follow the link for upgrade information.
Aeon Timeline supports automatic updates, which means you will be notified whenever an update is available, and able to download it directly within the program. If the program does not alert you automatically, you can choose ‘Check for Updates…’ from the Aeon Timeline menu.
Alternatively, you can download the latest version of the application by clicking on the Latest Version link at the top of the Blog page. The last beta was downloaded more than 500 times, and I hope even more users will test out this latest version. If you know other users who may be interested in the program and the direction the program is taking, please encourage them to take a look.
I took another look at Aeon Timeline after a hiatus and am delighted with the progress you’ve made on version 0.6.2. I’m hooked. Please feel free to contact me at anytime.
I will continue to monitor the Scrivener forum, but again, I am finding Aeon very useful. (Timeline software is tough isn’t it?)
Just wanted to say – a big thank you from a documentary film-maker. A great piece of software, which I now use constantly. Please keep going forward with this – it’s definitely software I for one would pay for in the future.
I only discovered this application a couple of days ago, and am already, as wm_j_ray above, hooked. Can’t wait to see the finished product!
